Build-a-Dress uses AI to help turn a written idea or inspiration image into a visual dress concept and an instant estimate. Human dressmakers construct the garment. A generated image helps communicate the design; it is not a sewing pattern, a fabric simulation, or a guarantee of the finished result.

What the design assistant uses
Start with the occasion, silhouette, color, length, neckline, sleeves, and details that matter to you. You can also upload reference images and explain which features you want to use. For example, you might like the neckline in one photo and the skirt shape in another.
The design conversation records those choices in a dress ticket. A clear brief makes revisions easier: “Keep the A-line skirt and square neckline, but add long sleeves and opaque lining” is more specific than “make it more modest.”

What the generated image shows
The tool creates a front-view concept. A back view can also be added to clarify the design. You can refine visible details as you decide what you want.
Treat those images as a reference for appearance. They do not establish the exact fabric, internal support, seam construction, fit, or movement of a real garment. A lace texture that looks convincing in an image still needs a suitable material and construction approach in production.
Record important requirements in words as well as images:
- Whether lace and sleeves must have opaque lining.
- How much neckline and back coverage you want.
- Whether you want a slit, train, or detachable element.
- Your event date and budget.
- Which details are essential and which can change.
How the instant quote works
Create a front preview, choose Get free quote, and sign in or create an account when prompted to receive an automated estimate. The estimator considers the recorded design information and visible complexity. Fabric, structure, skirt volume, layers, lace, embroidery, and beading can affect the estimate, as can dress category and expected shipping weight.

What people handle after checkout
The Build-a-Dress team coordinates the order with a production partner. Human makers use the agreed design direction and submitted measurements to construct the dress. The customer can track the order through production, shipping, and delivery.
Made-to-measure means the submitted measurements inform production. It does not promise a perfect fit without finishing adjustments. Review your measurements carefully and allow time for an optional local fitting.
What to check before ordering
Review the design notes, quote, measurements, and delivery expectations. Ask for clarification when a material, coverage requirement, or construction detail is essential to your decision.
